4.0 out of 5 stars - Revelations on Revelations September 28, 2019

Maurice Williams’ Revelation: Mature Look is a biblical read that is entertaining, thoughtful, educational, and enlightening in the sense that readers are presented with new perspectives on an old text. As a person who does not practice a religion, I appreciated the authors attempt to be objective, to stick to what he found as facts, and discuss the religious beliefs.

One of the author’s strong points is explaining the Bible in easily understandable terms, even if you are not interested or familiar with the religion. Clearly, this author has conducted a lot of research and thought intensely about what to write because “Revelation: Mature Look” was written with conviction, confidence, and passion. Interesting to me, the author published this book for a second time, as a more updated version. I respect that desire to improve and share those new perspectives and knowledge with the readers.

The book takes a look at the Book of Revelation, which was in my experience a bit hard to understand and relate with. The author tries to keep the reader intrigued and well-informed, and does a good job by making sure the writing is done is simple sophisticated manner. There’s a lot of focus on Lucifer, which I feel is a hot topic (no pun intended) because it is one that makes people uncomfortable. After reading, you might think more about how Lucifer or the devil impacts our life decisions, and about the nuances and origins of good and evil.

I would recommend this book mostly to people who care about different perspectives on history, especially those who enjoy religious history. I would caution people to not read it entirely as fact, but as a challenge, as a refresher, to what you may already think or think you know.
